Google Ads is the fastest way to reach people who are already looking for what you sell. You bid on a search like "packaging printer near me", your ad appears at the top, and you pay only when someone clicks. Simple to start, easy to waste money on if you skip the basics.
Know what you want first
Before touching Google Ads, decide what a click should produce. Phone calls? Form enquiries? Store visits? Bookings? Your goal decides everything else — which keywords you choose, what your ad says, and what page people land on.
Pick keywords by intent, not by size
"Printing" is a huge, vague word. "Offset printing for books Delhi" is someone who knows what they want. Start with specific, high-intent phrases. Broad words can come later when you have data.
Keep your early campaigns small — a handful of tightly themed keywords per ad group. A campaign with 200 loosely related keywords is almost impossible to control.
Use negative keywords like a filter
Negative keywords stop your ads showing for searches you do not want — "jobs", "free", "DIY", "salary" and similar words are common leaks. Check the search terms report weekly at the start. Every irrelevant click is your money leaving.
Write ads that sound like a human
Say what you do, why you are a good choice, and what to do next. "Offset & digital printing in Delhi. Quality checks on every run. Get a quote today." beats a list of buzzwords. Include the keyword naturally, and make sure the ad does not promise something the website cannot deliver.
Make the landing page earn the click
The page people land on should match the ad and make the next step obvious. If your ad says "get a quote", the page should have a quote form or WhatsApp button right there — not three clicks away on a homepage that talks about your history.
Track what actually happens
Set up conversion tracking before spending real money: form submissions, calls, WhatsApp clicks. Without it, you are optimising on guesses. With it, you can see which keywords bring enquiries and which just bring clicks.
Review and trim monthly
Once a month, look at what worked: which search terms produced enquiries, which ads performed, what each enquiry cost. Cut the losers, feed the winners, and keep the budget tight. A well-managed small budget beats a big, careless one.
